Sati Gems Hawaii Jewelry was created with the utmost love and care and we want your jewelry to remain just as beautiful as the first time you put it on.
Follow these simple steps to help keep your jewelry looking its best, year after year.
The first thing is, it’s good to wear your jewelry as much as you like, don’t save it for a special day, because every day is a special day. The natural oils in your skin help to keep your stones and metals clean and conditioned. Gemstones love oil.
How to Wear. Apply beauty products such as perfume, hairspray, and deodorant before wearing your jewelry as certain chemicals in these products may damage the finish. Always remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, doing household chores or using abrasive cleaners.
Storage: When you do put it away, Always store each piece separately. Store your jewelry items in a cool, dry place in the box/bag that was provided. Some colored gemstones may be sensitive to light.
Gold vermeil jewelry should be removed and safely stored before swimming or bathing to maintain its finish, we also recommend removing it before strenuous exercise.
Pearls & Opals are especially sensitive to the agents we mentioned above. Avoid wearing them while swimming or bathing. Even cosmetics can be harmful to their luster. We recommend having your pearls professionally cleaned and restrung on an annual basis.
Cleaning: If your jewelry requires cleaning, use mild soap, warm water, and a soft toothbrush. Baking soda and hot water can be used to clean silver. Rinse with clean water and pat dry. We recommend using a polishing cloth for Precious pieces. Make sure your jewelry is completely dry before storing.
