My story begins in a swirl of color, scent, and sound, woven into the vibrant streets of India where my childhood took root.
When I close my eyes, I can still feel it: the warmth of sun-soaked alleys scented with incense, the spice-laced flavors of roadside snacks rich with clove and cardamom, the hum of everyday life unfolding like a celebration.
But it was the women who left the most profound impression on me. Whether dressed or radiantly adorned, they moved with grace and power, wrapped in vibrant saris and layered in bracelets, anklets, and glittering jewels. They walked alongside elephants dressed in beaded silks and tassels—an image so vivid and rich, it became part of my soul.
As a young girl standing in that beautiful, chaotic magic, I didn’t yet know that it would shape my destiny. But it did. Those early memories became the foundation for Sati Gems Hawaii—a brand born from reverence for beauty, spirit, and meaning.
Today, I travel the world seeking the most exquisite natural gemstones, spiritual talismans, pearls, and precious metals. I handcraft each piece with intention, drawing from a deep well of inspiration rooted in those early days—and in the healing power of nature, color, and culture.
It’s my joy to create jewelry that empowers, inspires, and supports your journey, just as mine continues to evolve, guided by beauty, spirit, and the vibrant memories that started it all.
Years later, I pursued my passion further by attending and graduating from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A), earning my Graduate Gemologist Degree. My career flourished at one of the world’s most renowned jewelry houses, where I continued to cherish not only the memories of my childhood but also what they represented—the joy of being a woman and the celebration of womanhood through beautiful, meaningful adornment.
Beyond the nostalgia, the rich sensory tapestry of those early experiences stayed with me—mind, body, and soul—best captured by the word Sati. During my travels, I became deeply drawn to this concept, which can be understood as a state of mindful awareness that allows the pure essence of the self to harmoniously connect with the world around it.
This profound idea became the foundation of Sati Gems Hawaii—where every piece is designed to inspire presence, empowerment, and a meaningful connection to both self and surroundings.
After a decade of a steady and successful career, I made the difficult yet empowering decision to leave that path behind—to stay home and raise my sons, and to answer a calling I could no longer ignore. I set out to travel the world, returning again and again to India, a place that awakens my spirit and connects me deeply to my true self.
It is there, amidst vibrant culture and sacred energy, that I began collecting treasures—healing gemstones that would become the heart of my own jewelry line. Each piece embodies the essence of Sati—a celebration of life through meaningful adornment and cherished memories.
Now, after more than 30 wonderful years living in Hawaii, I call Kailua on the beautiful island of Oahu my home. I share this paradise with my husband, three sons, 3 dogs. My inspiration flows from the vibrant tropical surroundings—the fragrant flowers, the stunning blue ocean, and the majestic mountain ranges where I love to hike. Nature is my constant companion and source of renewal.
Over the years, I have deepened my understanding of holistic healing through studies in yoga, Ayurveda, aromatherapy, and meditation. I also expanded my knowledge of gemstones’ healing properties while continuing my work in the jewelry industry. Yet, I still felt something was missing—an uncertainty about how to truly help others through what I love.
Then one day, I had an “ah-ha” moment. I decided to become an Advanced Certified Crystal Healer, blending the healing power of gemstones with my passion for creating beautiful jewelry. Now, each piece I design and craft is more than adornment—it is a tool for healing and transformation. Knowing that my work supports others on their life journey fills me with gratitude and fulfillment.
My deepest desire is to share the essence of Sati through lovingly and ethically handmade jewelry. Each piece is inspired by my life’s journey—where East meets Island life—with care, joy, and intention woven into every detail.
